Members of the Service Workshop group at Grace Lutheran Church in Libertyville have been making quilts and kits to donate to Lutheran World Relief for years. LWR is an organization that helps people in need and sets them on a path to self-sufficiency. These quilts will be destined for places around the world, including South America, Africa and the Middle East. Quilt making was usually done in a group setting at the church but this year put a new spin on their endeavors. Working in their homes, the members were able to make 277 quilts! This is in comparison to 120 last year! Grace Lutheran Church joins with LWR in knowing that each quilt reflects God’s loving presence in a world filled with suffering.
