Psalm 98:4-6
Build Community – We gather on Sundays to support each other in our faith journey. Singing as a congregation is one of the key ways we form this community.
Form Christian Identity – We become what we celebrate, and singing is an important tool in developing our Christian faith.
Proclaim the Word – We use music to enlighten and expand the word of God that we hear each week.
Surround the Sacraments – One of the blessings of being Lutheran is that we worship liturgically, which is in itself very musical in its form. We sing to enhance this expression of our faith.
Serve God’s Mission – We sing so that we are ready to serve our neighbors with justice and mercy.
Glorify God – We sing in thanksgiving for all of the gifts that we have been so freely given.
