Outdoor Worship Service Planned

This note is an invitation to outdoor worship at Grace Lutheran on Sunday, July 26th at 9:30 am. Please know we are making choices that we pray will protect the well-being of all who may wish to attend this worship service. Our church council, our church COVID Team, as well as our Metro Chicago Synod and state have issued guidelines that have helped lead our church council in making decisions that protect the health of our worshiping community to the best of our ability.

Please know that worshiping outdoors is weather dependent and the indoor space will not be available as a backup. We will only worship on 7/26 if the weather cooperates.

On Sunday the 26th, arrive early and bring your own chair or seating arrangements to carry into the field just south of the sanctuary. Wear a mask and please do not attend if you are ill. You must wear a mask for the entire service. We will not have communion at this service. Before you enter the field, please stop to have your temperature taken with a touchless thermometer and read the sign which invites you to answer health questions. If you answer all questions and note that you are well, please proceed either on your own or with others from your immediate household to a pre-painted square on the grass where we ask you to remain for the entire worship service.  The service will be short, only about 35 minutes.

We look forward to welcoming you at Grace Lutheran Church.
